• Enable camera preview, microphone capture, and video recording when users choose features that require them

We do NOT use your data for:

• Building user profiles
• Facial recognition
• Identity tracking

3. AI & Media Processing (Critical)

CHROMANCY uses AI technologies, including third-party services such as Google Gemini, to process user content.

Our AI Commitments:

• Your content is processed only to deliver the requested feature
• Your content is NOT used for AI training or model improvement
• Your content is NOT added to datasets
• Your content is NOT reused for any purpose outside your request

Likeness & Identity Protection

We do NOT use your face, likeness, or identity for:

• Training models
• Facial recognition
• Identity tracking

Your identity and content remain yours at all times.

Camera and microphone data is used only for the selected feature and is not used for advertising, profiling, facial recognition, identity tracking, or AI training.

4. Data Processing & Storage

• Data is processed securely using services such as Firebase
• Media is processed temporarily (ephemeral processing)
• We do NOT store your uploaded media permanently unless explicitly saved by you

5. Third-Party Services

We may use trusted third-party services to operate the app, including:

• Firebase (authentication, database, storage)
• Google Gemini (AI processing)

These providers process data only on our behalf and are not permitted by us to use your data for training or unrelated purposes.

6. Data Sharing

We do NOT sell your data.

We may share data only when necessary:

• With service providers (e.g., Firebase, AI processing services)
• When legally required (e.g., court order or regulatory request)

7. Data Retention

• Account data is retained while your account is active
• Media is not retained after processing unless saved by you
• Some data may be retained where legally required

Under applicable law, including Protection of Personal Information Act, you have the right to:

• Delete your account and associated data
• Withdraw consent by stopping use of the app

9. Account Deletion

When you delete your account:

• Personal data is removed from active systems
• Stored data is deleted or anonymised
• Some minimal data may remain where legally required

We use industry-standard safeguards:

• Encryption in transit
• Secure authentication
• Access controls

However, no system is completely secure.

11. Children's Privacy

CHROMANCY is not intended for users under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
